Many users in Pakistan are reportedly unable to access Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram since 16 May because the popular social media platforms are all reportedly down. Users are unable to log into their accounts on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, so they are unable to post or view anything, according to the outage-tracking website Downdetector.com, a large number of smartphone users are also complaining about their WhatsApp which is not working both on desktops and cellphones. Earlier, Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and a former prime minister was taken into custody by rangers on tuesday ( 23 May ) outside the Islamabad High Court in the federal capital. The nation’s anti-graft watchdog in the Al-Qadir trust case detained the former premier after he continued to rant against his rivals and government agencies. Meanwhile, initial reports suggest that the supporters of the defiant leader are trading blows with law enforcers. Imran Ahmed Khan Niazi is a Pakistani politician and former cricket captain who served as the 22nd prime minister of Pakistan from August 2018 until April 2022. He is the founder and chairman of the political party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
