The children of any country are considered the architects of the future of that country but unfortunately, the architects of our nation's future are out of school. It is well said that if you want to devastate a country then destroy its education system.
Currently, Pakistan has the world's second-highest number of out-of-school children (OOSC). According to an estimation, 22.8 million children aged 5-16 are out of school. It is mandated in the Constitution of Pakistan to provide free and compulsory education to all children between the ages of 5-16 years and enhance adult literacy, but still, we are facing this problem.
Balochistan has the largest proportion of out-of-school children in Pakistan.in Balochistan, 78 percent of girls are out of school and they are not having access to get an education. In addition, Balochistan and Sindh are found in many areas where there is a strong shortage of schools. Many of the schools in rural areas lack basic facilities such as a building, boundary walls, electricity, water, and toilets. According to a survey,
Sindh has 4,810 schools without a building, of which 4,608 were in rural areas. Balochistan has 1,815 schools not having a building, with 1,500 in rural areas.
Financial Weakness is the biggest cause of Pakistan's illiteracy. According to a survey, more than 64% people of in Pakistan live in poverty. It demonstrates that less than 36% of people are stable economically in Pakistan. The current literacy rate of Pakistan is 59.13%. Stern steps should be taken to increase the literacy rate.
The government is requested to present an excellent budget for improving the education system.
