Inflation in Pakistan by Irfan Ilahi

Inflation

The average inflation rate was 8.2% per year from 1960 to 2021. Besides this, at the beginning of 2022, the inflation rate was 11% which was not still acceptable. Unfortunately, in August 2022, the inflation rate reached 27.3 percent which has made the life of people vulnerable. However, domestic goods are being expensive day by day. Commodities have reached such a price that poor people have become just onlookers. They are incapable to buy them.

All fundamental items are out of range. The prices of Chicken, lemon, tomatoes, flour, and others are exceptionally expensive. People are confronting the challenges of buying a meal 3 times. Inflation is increasing promptly instead of decrement. It is high time for the government to bring inflation under control otherwise nation will need to endure a lot in such a situation.
