Various diseases in flood affected areas

Disease

Pakistan is confronting many challenges and diseases after the flood. Various diseases have got birth after the arrival of destructive floods and heavy rain. Spreading of diseases in different parts of the country. The major disease to be considered is dengue which is attacking vigorously in our country. It has become a deadly virus.

According to the Google, 25,932 cases have been reported between January to September 2022, whereas 62 deaths are included.

Moreover, snakes are found in great quantities after the flood. Many death cases are being reported in different areas of Pakistan. A girl, whose name was Fatima, died due to biting by a snake. She was from Kot Digi. She could not get immediate aid and could reach the hospital at the time which took her life. The ways were not drained, and that's why her parents couldn't take her to the hospital at an adequate time.

It is woeful to know that several diseases continue to spread among affected areas, such as diarrhea, skin infection, eye infection, and Malaria. According to a report, 38 cases of diarrhea and approximately 67 cases of skin diseases were reported in just Hyderabad. Health Department has shared a report which states that 10 cases of eye infection and 15 cases of Malaria got confirmed in just a single day in Hyderabad.

Not only in Islamabad, but Malaria has also put its steps in major cities of Pakistan. If the government does take any action to stop these diseases then the situation may get worse in the upcoming time. Therefore, I request the government to introduce some useful sprays and to give caution to the people so that they can preserve themselves from these hazardous diseases.
